Other Materials:

• Drinking Straws
• Crayons or Markers
• Tape
• Cardstock or Construction Paper

Tips:

Cut the shapes using felt and retell the story using a flannel board presentation.

Instructions:

1. Using the monkey die, open book die, shelved book die, and man die, cut enough of each shape for each student.
2. Have the students color and decorate their shapes to reflect the parts of the story.
3. Attach the characters and shapes to a drinking straw or craft stick on the back of the design using tape.
