- Instructions:
1. Cut cake in multiple colors. Cut candles off of cakes. Cut flames off of candles. 2. Cut whole cakes (with candles) in neutral color. 3. Allow students to choose favorite colors of cake, candles and flames. Each child glues cake parts to one whole, neutral cake. Write student names on cakes. 4. Cut enough borders to line perimeter of bulletin board. Back cut-out cakes in borders with small, colored squares that show through to front. 5. Cut letters to spell "Let's Celebrate!" 6. Cut small spirals and flowers. 7. Line bulletin board with green paper, then arrange pieces as shown and attach to board with staples.
Hint: To speed up border cutting, first accordion-fold roll paper, then place folds just inside blades to cut several layers at a time.
