Tips:

The bug box may be used to collect real insects on a trip to the park.

Instructions:
  1. Cut yellow bug box. Use 2" Block zero die to cut window in front panel of box.
  2. Tape mesh inside box over window.
  3. Cut mini bugs in various colors. Trim pieces and layer different colors together. Outline with black marker to add definition.
  4. With sticker letters, add words "Bug Box" to front panel or write by hand.
  5. Adhere bugs to box and assemble.
  6. Curl wire and insert through holes in box sides. Knot ends to secure wire.

To Learn: Read The Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carle. As a follow-up activity hide poly foam insect shapes in the classroom. When children find bugs, they can collect them in their bug boxes.
