Clocks for Basic Schedules
Designed by Elaine Haven
This project is on page 41 of AccuCut's 100 Great Math Ideas book. Use the interesting, brightly colored die-cut clocks to help students learn time. Set the hands on several different clocks to show times of special classes, such as library, P.E., computer lab or art.

- Tips:
Allow students to assemble their own clocks to help them become more aware of the numbers and clock hands.
- Instructions:
1. Cut clock parts, except hands, in different colors. Assemble clocks on colored paper and glue down. 2. Cut black clock hands. Attach to clocks with paper fasteners. 3. Add numbers with black pen or sticker numbers. 4. Outline clock parts with black marker. 5. Print day and class name labels. Trim and glue to clock pages. Outline with black pen.
To learn: Set all clock hands to noon. Discuss one class at a time with students, asking them to show the time a class begins by moving the clock hands to the correct position. Post clocks around classroom when they show the correct times. If desired, cut enough clocks so each student can have his or her own for practice.
