Farm/Wild Magic Book

Do we raise fish on a farm? Do they exist in the wild? The answer is "Yes" to both questions! This easy-to-make magic book is a compelling and creative way to open the discussion about animals found in both places. Students will love opening the secret pages to find more animals.

- Tips:
Instead of writing "Farm" and "Wild" on the outside panels, write the names of animals beside each section.
- Instructions:
1. Lay book shape on table with perforated lines vertical. Weave one strip through slots of middle left section of book. From opposite direction, weave second strip through slots in middle right section of book. 2. After both strips are woven through slots, accordion-fold along perforations, so woven pages are folded inside of book. 3. Close book, then separate center woven pages to reveal hidden page! 4. Cut animals in different colors and ask children to categorize them. 5. Decorate animal shapes and adhere to pages.
