Jesus' Lamp

In the Sermon On the Mount, Jesus reminded us not to hide our lamps under a bushel, but rather to let them shine. This "lamp" will remind children of that parable. Use the song "This Little Light of Mine" with the lesson. (Matthew 5:14)

Tips:

String these lamps across a room for festive party decor.

Instructions:

1. Using construction paper, cut one blue and one yellow lantern shape for each child.
2. If desired, have children decorate the blue lantern using crayons, markers, puff paint, or glitter.
3. Staple the long side of the yellow lamp together, overlapping the first two cuts.
4. Staple the long side of the blue lantern around the yellow, overlapping only one cut. 
5. Staple the handle to both shapes as shown.
