Ladybug Game I

When you were a kid, do you remember catching ladybugs and letting them crawl on you? It was fascinating! Let the ladybug in die cut form add an element of fun and fascination to this take-home or learning center game. Choose bright cardstock colors to engage students.

- Tips:
Put larger numbers on the cube for students at higher skill levels.
- Instructions:
1. Cut and assemble two 3-D cubes for each group of students. 2. Write a number on five of the six sides of the cube, or use 1 1/4" block die-cut numbers. Adhere a mini ladybug shape on the sixth side. The ladybug equals zero. 3. Students take turns throwing the cube and adding to their totals. First graders can play each toss as a separate game, but second and third graders should keep a running total. After 10 throws, the student with the largest number wins.
