These cards are easy to make--and a fun way to teach young students beginning math concepts. In a learning center, students match a number card with the corresponding set or play a game of "concentration."

- Tips:
Create a reading game by putting a beginning letter on one card and the corresponding shape on another.
- Instructions:
- For each set, cut 10 cards from brightly colored cardstock.
- Cut numerals 1 through 5, and glue each number on a card.
- Cut assorted mini shapes.
- Glue one mini shape on one card, two mini shapes on another, three on another and so on, until you have five shape cards to coordinate with number cards.
