Students use small motor skills to lace a felt puppet together, and then turn it into a real or imagined animal they can use in role play.

Tips:

Use felt, paper or polyfoam to make lacing puppets.

Instructions:
  1. Cut enough puppets so each student has two shapes.
  2. With yarn, students lace two pieces together, beginning at bottom left hole and ending at bottom right hole. 
  3. Student or teacher ties off entry thread and ending thread.
  4. With variety of embellishments, students create different character faces on puppets to act out story center tales.
