Students use small motor skills to lace a felt puppet together, and then turn it into a real or imagined animal they can use in role play.

- Tips:
Use felt, paper or polyfoam to make lacing puppets.
- Instructions:
- Cut enough puppets so each student has two shapes.
- With yarn, students lace two pieces together, beginning at bottom left hole and ending at bottom right hole.
- Student or teacher ties off entry thread and ending thread.
- With variety of embellishments, students create different character faces on puppets to act out story center tales.
