- Tips:
AccuCut offers a large selection of mini die shapes you can use for sorting activities, game pieces and counting activities.
- Instructions:
- Create basic yellow construction paper booklet for each student.
- Cut brown tree trunk and green tree top. Trim with scissors and glue in place on page as shown.
- Cut six red apples. Cut six brown stems and six green leaves; trim with scissors and glue in place on red apples. Glue apples to tree top.
- Print title, trim to rectangle and glue on cover.
- For each book, cut 12" piece of thick yarn.
- Glue about 1" of yarn at top of inside cover page, with most of yarn hanging over top of book.
- Sandwich end of yarn between two mini apples and glue together.
- On inside of book, write or type numbers (i.e., 1 – 10 on first page, 11 – 20 on second page and 21 – 30 on third page).
To Learn: As you practice skip counting, students point to numbers with mini apples on the yarn.
