Spinning Wheel Book

Students will enjoy "spinning for a story" with this die-cut wheel. The spinner lands on shapes that help them find reading tales by classmates.

- Tips:
Assemble all students' stories into a book and place the book in a center. Students spin the spinner and then read the story with that die-cut shape on the page.
- Instructions:
- Cut inner flash card wheel. Glue onto cover of construction paper book.
- In each section of wheel, glue a mini die cut (i.e., apple, car, farm animals). Decorate die cuts as desired. Draw black dividing lines along perforation lines.
- Outline wheel and shapes with black marker.
- Add spinner to wheel with brad and paper clip.
- Print title, trim into rectangle and glue to cover.
- Give each student a topic and allow him or her to spin spinner.
- Each student writes a story about assigned topic and the shape selected.
- On student's story page, glue one of selected shapes.
