- Tips:
You can make a similar game from any jumbo die-cut shape! If a shape does not include perforated sections, draw sections with a marker.
- Instructions:
1. Cut several turtles in bright colors, one in green. Cut apart turtles on perforation lines. Leave green turtle whole. 2. Glue different-colored pieces to green turtle to create multi-colored shell. 3. Glue finished turtle to construction paper. 4. Print title. Trim. Glue to top of page.
To learn: Each student uses a different kind of dried bean as a marker (e.g., a lima bean and a kidney bean). When students answer a question or match two cards correctly, they get to put a bean in one of the perforated sections of the turtle's carapace. Only one bean is allowed in a section. The object of the game is to claim the most sections with beans.
