- Cardstock or Construction Paper -- Orange, Brown, Red, White
- Tips:
Use these bookmarks as incentives in a reading program or, on the back of the bookmark, show students how to record each book they read in a certain period of time.
- Instructions:
- Cut enough orange bookmarks so each student has one.
- Cut brown, red and white head portions only. Trim brown head along perforation lines and glue to red bookmark. Trim red tongue and white teeth from heads and glue to brown head. (Alternative: cut one bookmark for each student and allow students to color and decorate them.) Outline with black marker if desired.
- Glue on wiggle eyes.
- Students write reading slogans on bookmark to match theme.
